The following are the suggested mechanics of the promotion. If you wish to alter these to suit your venue, please outline your suggested changes in your promo proposal brief.

  • Males aged 24-35years
  • Sponsored Teams/local sporting enthusiasts
  • Local Business and working class

Patrons enter the challenge in the venue by purchasing the 1kg steak with sides from the bistro. The price point based on venue requirements needs to be discussed with Jasmine prior. The ‘challenger’ is required to complete their whole plate (including sides) in one sitting without assistance from friends.

Dates & days: Every Day or alternatively on a couple of days per week only
Start Time: Lunch
Finish Time: Dinner
  • To order 1kg steak supplies (please speak to Jasmine Pycroft or Patrick O'Loughlin)
  • Speak to help desk to have the 1kg steak meal added to your tills
  • 1kg Steak Starter Kit
  • Polaroid Camera
  • As per your normal bistro setup.
  • Ensure POS is prominently displayed and ‘challengers’ can be seen by staff to increase the ‘theatre’ element and verification of completion
  • The steak challenge is NOT a 241 item.
  • Patrons place the 1kg steak order at the bar as per normal bistro setup.
  • The steak with sides is $35 and delivers a 60% GP. Staff are to make an announcement to the bar that “challenger name” is attempting the 1kg steak challenge to raise awareness of the promotion and create theatre in the room.
  • Bistro Chef is to serve the 1kg steak to the challenger personally wishing them good luck to increase theatre around the promotion.
  • If the challenger completes their full plate, they will have their photo taken beside the life size cut out cow, with their “completed the 1kg steak challenge” t-shirt and Lucky’s cowboy hat.
  • Their photo will then be added to the 1kd Steak Challenge Hall of Fame! (please speak to GMM and your AM for camera/photo options)

  • Photo on the 1kg Steak Challenge “Hall of Fame”

  • Create an internal challenge amongst your sponsored teams
  • Suggest you add a Hall of Fame board for additional ‘Theatrical value’ and add successful challenger photos to the board for display. (Please speak to GMM and your AM for polaroid camera options)
  • Make sure your staff are all fully aware of the promo and telling their mates - we are looking to source new markets and gust with this promo
