END OF FINANCIAL YEAR MECHANIC

OVERVIEW OF THE PROMOTION:

End of Financial Year; in 2012 falling on Friday 29th June provides an opportunity for you to connect with your local business market as they round out a traditionally busy time of year and wrap up their Financial Year.

Whilst most End of Financial Year Parties focus around the finance sector, many other small businesses will take this opportunity to bring together their workers for a celebratory end of year get together to reward their work.

You may wish to consider offering your EOFY package throughout the month of July to encourage continued bookings post EOFY.

FUNCTION BOOKING INCENTIVE:

Incentives can include such things as;

  • Free Room Hire
  • $50 Bar Tab for the employee booking the function
  • Complimentary Share Platter on arrival
  • Free Drink on arrival for all function guests
  • 10% your total function tab
  • Complimentary EOFY Room Decorations (up to an agreed value)

COST TO A&M: This will be dependent on your offer. Please remember to include the total cost of your proposed activity in your A&M proposal. If this is a ‘discount’ amount, simply include the 10% you intend to offer in your Cost to A&M.

AFTER 5 DRINKS:
DETAILS: Design for venues without a food option or for business groups that simply want to come in for an after work drink.

Incentives to encourage group bookings may include;

  • Complimentary Bottle of Bubbles for any group booking of 5 or more
  • End of Financial Year Happy Hour – aligning with a product of your choice, offer a discount period ‘Happy Hour’ for end of financial year. E.g Friday 29th June 5-7pm

COST TO A&M: Dependent on your offer a ‘Happy Hour’ will be a GP hit on the product during this period, while a complimentary bottle of bubbles will have a set cost per booking. Please include your expected costs in your A&M proposal.

  • Specially design package – for example $35 2 course special. Please work with your head chef and Jasmine Pycroft to ensure you are delivering an enticing offer which maintains GP.

EOFY LOCAL BUSINESS NETWORKING NIGHT:
DETAILS: Designed to engage your local business community; the EOFY Business Networking night may simply encourage local business members down to your venue on the last Friday of the month.

  • Complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival

Working with your local business community and local Chamber of Commerce, create a business networking night that can double as a social EOFY get together.

COST TO A&M: Dependent on your expected numbers. You will need to cost a canapé and beverage per head price point to be allocated to A&M. Please ensure you work through your menu costing prior to submitting your A&M proposal.

REQUIRED IN YOUR A&M PROPOSAL:
  • Each individual activity your wish to run including the day you will be running this, times and cost to A&M. You will also be able to provide any additional comments around the activity in the A&M Proposal sheet.
  • Any existing daily What’s ON activity should also be included in your A&M Proposal as ‘proposed activity’. Simply note that this is existing activity and there is no additional cost to A&M
  • Proposed Marketing Activity
  • Any additional activity you may wish to include outside of the suggested mechanics.


 

USEFUL TIPS:

  • Be well planned with your Activities

  • Ensure you are engaging your local business community

  • Contact previous EOFY Function Clients for repeat business

  • Contact your local bank manager with an offer to bring down their team on the Friday afternoon.

  • Utilise on line listing sites for What’s on Listings

  • Engage local Chamber of Commerce
