The following are the suggested mechanics of the promotion. If you wish to alter these to suit your venue, please outline your suggested changes in your promo proposal brief.

  • Weekly Spot prize announce to the closest number present in the room
  • Weekly Jackpot increases by $100
  • Runner’s Up prize will need to vary weekly and can be to the value of $50.

Suggested marketing initiatives are outlined below. Not all will be appropriate to your venue, however please suggest as many options as you feel appropriate in you promotion proposal.

  • POS
  • WEBSITE
  • BADGE DRAW BOARD
  • STAFF UP SELL
  • SMS
  • STAFF FOCUS ON SIGNUPS
  • EFLYER
  • Creating theatre in the room is key to the success of this promotion. Having a vibrant and energetic manager run this promotion will ensure staff buy in and the continued banter with regular patrons throughout the week.
  •  Ensure badges are issued in sequence order and that the badge ranges are entered into the number generator correctly each week.
  • Ensure that Badges/Cards are only issued to your target market - i.e regular patrons. There is no point having 4000 members on your badge draw database when only 15 show up regularly. The chances of winning become impossible and the promotion will loose its potency. The promotion should be going off approximately once in a 10week period.
  • Keep your badge draw membership database separate from your regular hotel database.
  • Ensure that the Jackpot total is banked with Zorba monthly to lessen the impact on A&M when the jackpot goes off.
  • Encourage locals to “give Johnny a call and let him know he missed out on the $500 last week”.
  • Use your time on the microphone during the promotion to promote one other hotel promotion per week
