FREE BBQ PROMOTION

OVERVIEW OF THE PROMOTION:

For venues without food facilities, offering a free BBQ with the purchase of a beverage will do the following:

  • Increase the length of stay of your customers who may otherwise leave for a meal.
  • Encourage existing customers to come to your venue instead of a competitor who may have a food offering.
  • Discourage free loaders seeking to obtain the free meal without patronising your venue.
    This promotion provides customers with a Free BBQ with the purchase of a VB, Wednesday – Friday nights between 5pm – 7pm.

Please Note: This promotion has been allocated to specific venues as outlined below. These venues will not be required to submit a proposal, POS request or till change request, this will be arranged by venue support. Venue support will also add this to your weekly promotions section and to your websites where applicable.

If your venue has not been allocated this activity, but you feel it is appropriate to your venue, please submit an A&M proposal.

  • CABRAMATTA INN
DETAILS OF THE PROMOTION:

Promotion Description: Free BBQ / Sausage Sizzle with the purchase of a Schooner of VB (on premise)

Availability: Monday, Wednesday & Friday Nights, 5pm – 7pm.

Promotional Period: The promotion is to start on Thursday 7th March and run for 3 months with review at 3 months.

How to process the offer:

  • Customers purchase a VB Schooner and are then given a ‘FREE BBQ’ card.
  • Customers are then directed to the staff member who will be cooking the BBQ outside.
  • The Staff member collects the ‘FREE BBQ’ card and provides the customer with a sausage sandwich with their choice of toppings/sauces free of charge.
  • At the end of the night, the number of cards must be counted and added to the DTS report under the promotions section.

Invoicing: As listed below, there are start-up costs and stock/consumable costs associated with this promotion. As this promotion is partnered with CUB, they will offset the costs of stock and other associated consumables. Please use petty cash to pay for these items. These are to be coded to Entertainment of patrons.

Please provide Tom Gerlach with the invoices for stock/consumable orders on a monthly basis and he will have these costs offset by CUB.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED & ASSOCIATED COSTS:

Equipment/Marketing/Labour:

  • POS – maximum $150
  • ‘FREE BBQ’ cards (BC x 1 000 cards) - $75
  • Flat Bed BBQ – Jumbuck 4 burner from Bunnings - $96
  • Gas tank - $28.90
  • 2 x Tongs - $5 each
  • Allocated staff member for 2 hours - $50-$75 per night

Stock/Consumables:

  • 2 x Foil trays
  • Standard Beef Sausages
  • Brown Onions
  • Buttered loaves of bread
  • BBQ & Tomato Sauce in squeeze bottles
  • Cooking Oil
  • Napkins
  • Latex gloves
    (Please note that the consumables will be offset by CUB)

Marketing initiatives should include the following:

  • In house POS (Provided by Venue Support)
  • Nightlife (To be uploaded by Venue Support)
  • UM
  • Staff Viral
  • Website What’s On Section (where applicable)
  • Social Media
REQUIRED IN YOUR PROPOSAL:

Allocated venues are not required to submit a proposal. If you are not an allocated venue, the following information will be required in your proposal:

  • Current nightly promotions that would either coincide with this promotion or to be substituted with this promotion.
  • Estimated number of sausages to be handed out nightly & weekly.
  • POS requirements (including posters, nightlifes, ‘FREE BBQ’ cards etc.)

USEFUL TIPS:

  • Make sure that the BBQ is kept in a prominent place where it is easily visible to your customers.

  • Keep your BBQ clean and presentable at all times.

  • Make sure your staff are talking about the BBQ with all staff.

  • Begin cooking the BBQ 20 mins before the promotion starts at 5:00pm to ensure you have cooked some sausages for the first lot to be redeemed.
