HOT SEAT JACKPOT GAMING PROMOTION

OVERVIEW OF THE PROMOTION:

The Hot Seat Jackpot Promotion is a gaming promotion designed to increase gaming traffic into your venue while also increasing the length of play of your customer. This promotion should be held at times of the day at which you would like to increase your player levels.

The concept is that a random machine number is randomly picked any time within an hour. Anyone playing machine wins instantly. If the seat if empty, the prize jackpots.
HOW THE PROMOTION IS RUN:

  1. A random number is selected using an automatic number generator within the gaming room and subsequently announced.
  2. Manager on the floor immediately checks the corresponding machine for a player.
  3. If a customer is actively playing the machine, they are instantly rewarded with the prize money.
  4. If there is no player present, the prize money Jackpots to the next draw. If this is the case, the Jackpot amount on the board is to be subsequently changed to the new amount straight away.
  5. The prize amount will begin at $50, and Jackpot $50 each round. The Jackpot maximum is $1 000.
  6. Jackpots can carry over to the following day’s trade.

DRAW TIMES:

  1. 1 draw is to take place between every one of the following hour intervals: 8pm – 9pm, 9pm – 10pm, 12am – 1am & 1am – 2am; four draws a night.
  2. The times at which each draw is made within each hour should be random and mixed up so as to keep customers guessing. This will prevent them just playing when they ‘expect’ the draw to happen.
  3. The promotion is to run every day of the week, ongoing.

RULES & REGULATIONS:

Due to legislation around gaming promotions in NSW, this promotion can only be run in QLD venues.

Eligibility:

  1. Promotion is open to all patrons who are eligible to play gaming machines within the venue. Redcape staff & their family & friends are not eligible.
  2. A customer must be deemed actively playing the randomly selected machine as deemed by the manager on duty at the time. Patrons merely sitting at a machine without play, or reserved machines will not be eligible to win.

Draw:

  1. The draws must take place within the hours as stated in your terms and conditions, and not outside of these times.
  2. An automatic number generator machine or automatic number generator software must be utilised to select the number.
  3. Prize monies must be provided to winners instantly.
  4. In the event of the randomly selected machine not being in play at the time of the draw, prize amounts will Jackpot. The Jackpot maximum amount is $1 000.

COST TO A&M: Prize Money: $1, 400 per week ($50 per draw, 4 draws a day), Number Generator: Approximately $300, plus POS
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Automatic number generator:

  • With a number range corresponding to the number of within your gaming room.

Machine numbers:

  • Clearly visible to customers.

POS:

  • POS advertising the promotion in venue & website.
  • A1 frame displayed in the gaming room with the Jackpot Poster.
  • A4 laminated jackpot value sheets (to place on Jackpot poster)

2 staff present during draw:

  • 1 x staff member to activate the number generator and a manager to oversee the room to ensure that players are not switching machines during draw.

Prize accrual:

  • To be set up with Zorba – speak to your AM for assistance if required.

USEFUL TIPS:

  • Ensure that your gaming staff are talking up the promotion to the afternoon gaming crowd.

  • Create some theatre around the Hot Seat draws to gain the attention of your players and to get them excited about the next draw.

  • Create a Power display for the promotion, which may include a red light shining on your POS & Jackpot display amount & the Number generator machine. Consider having a siren light to switch on when the draw is taking place.

  • Ensure your A1/A0 frame with the Jackpot amount is always kept up to date by your gaming staff.

  • Make sure the spreadsheet is kept up to date with ALL details including the draw times, so that you can make sure you change it up hour to hour & day to day.
