The following are the suggested mechanics of the promotion. If you wish to alter these to suit your venue, please outline your suggested changes in your promo proposal brief.

This seasonal promotion will allow you to harness the warm weather and inherent excitement and festivities that come along with it! This promotion will involve the drawing of a surf board through a Jim Beam sales drive.

Day: Either Friday or Saturday Friday 3rd December, Saturday 4th December

  • POS
  • Jim Beam Surfboard on display
  • $1 off Jim Beam on event date
  • Staff in theme dress for your Welcome to Summer Party (last week of the promotion highlighted above)
  • Summer Themeing
  • Throughout the month of November you will run a sales drive for Jim Beam RTD and or nip pour. Staff will be encouraged to up sell Jim Beam at every opportunity.

  • Patrons who purchase a Jim Beam (RTD or Nip) will go into the draw to WIN Jim Beam Surfboard drawn on the night of your Welcome to Summer Party.

  • On either Friday 3rd December or Saturday 4th December you will host your Welcome to Summer Party. Staff and venue themeing will be required for the party. Jim Beam will be offered  at $1 off normal price

  • Party Themeing to include:

    • Staff in Boardies and Bikinis
    • Zinc for staff
    • Leis for staff and patrons to wear
    • Summer themed music either played via nightlife or consider live entertainment if you A&M budget will allow - Please speak to Alistair Flower with regards to your allocation here
    • Consider a complimentary BBQ during this period
    • On POS also promote you NORMAL activity for that night

Suggested marketing initiatives are outlined below. Not all will be appropriate to your venue, however please suggest as many options as you feel appropriate in you promotion proposal.

  • Ensure staff are actively up selling Jim Beam throughout the lead up month. They should also be actively up selling the welcome to summer party throughout the entire month
  • Prominently display your Jim Beam Surfboard throughout the month to improve the visual presence of the promotion and back bar display.
  • Ensure Jim Beam is prominently displayed on your back bar
  • Ensure staff buy in to the welcome to summer party; getting them excited about dressing up, consider a staff incentive for best dress or most sales
  • Personally invite all sporting sponsors to your Welcome to Summer Party
