The following are the suggested mechanics of the promotion. If you wish to alter these to suit your venue, please outline your suggested changes in your promo proposal brief.

  • Local families with kids under 12
  • Local Mother’s Groups

Families visiting the hotel during the promotional period have the opportunity to purchase the parents main meals from the bistro and their kids eat free from the ‘Ankle Biters’ menu.

Dates & days: Sunday’s
Start Time: Lunch
Finish Time: Dinner
  • POS
  • Terms & Conditions surrounding the promotion
  • Designated seating area for families away from restricted areas and other areas that may conflict with the young family market

As per normal bistro setup
You may require a small child high chair or two in the longer term

  • Families come into the bistro and order any main meal from a selected bistro menu.
  • Parents orders will be placed as normal from the bistro. Every main meal order will entitle one kids meal order from the Ankle Biters menu for free. The Ankle Biters order will be added to the Promo Food account.

Suggested marketing initiatives are outlined below. Not all will be appropriate to your venue, however please suggest as many options as you feel appropriate in you promotion proposal.

  • POS
  • FLYERS TO LOCAL CHILD CARE CENTRES
  • WEBSITE
  • FLYERS TO LOCAL MUMS GROUPS
  • EFLYER NIGHTLIFE
  • UM SCREENS
  • Ensure the atmosphere and ambience in the space is conducive to young families. This will include an appropriate TV schedule, music and lighting
  • Ensure that the promotional period does not conflict with other promotions that may not be suitable for children i.e Friday night football
  • Contact local child care centers, toy stores and schools that may allow you to put “Kids Eat Free” flyers in their space to help promote the offer
  • Contact your sponsored teams that may have a Juniors side to the club and add to their newsletter or website
  • Create some theatre about the promotion by either launching the promotion or arranging a once per month event where you incorporate a clown, face painter or similar with the promotion. You may simply have a helium tank ready and offer the kids a balloon with every order. (this can be done on a weekly basis)
  • The key is to make this all about the kids - if the kids are comfortable and having fun, their parents will be more inclined to stay a little longer for another drink.

Example
POS = $78.55 (2 x A3, 1 x A1, 1 x A0)
Children’s High Chair = $100
