The following are the suggested mechanics of the promotion. If you wish to alter these to suit your venue, please outline your suggested changes in your promo proposal brief.

The Lord of the Wings promo is a HOT WINGS eating competition to take place once a month. This promotion is a great way to engage local customers in a fun activity driving patronage to your venue for this created event, whilst highlighting your venues food operation.

For example: First Wednesday of every month

Day: On a reoccurring day of the month each month
Start Time: 6:30pm - 7:30pm registration
Finish Time: 8:30pm

  • POS
  • Product for competition ordered on a separate invoice and paid through A&M.
  • Central location for the competition to take place viewable to regular patrons and friends.
  • Lord of the Wings Board.
  • Long Table and Chairs for the contestants
  • Those wishing to enter the competition will need to arrive between 6:30pm - 7:30pm, purchase a drink and register at the bar. At 7:45pm contestants will be called to take their places in the 'Hot Seat'.
  • Once all seated, the first round of wings will be brought to the table for contestants to eat. From there, once each round of wings has been completed by all contestants, the next round will be brought out. There are 10 levels of hotness; contestants will drop off with each round until a WINNER IS CROWNED.
  • No drinks will be allowed during the competition!
  • The winner will receive bragging rights and have their name added to the Lord of Wings Board.
  • Please remember this is a FREE TO ENTER competition. All product purchased for the challenge should be purchased on a separate invoice and expensed through A&M. Please speak with JP/PO for the recipe card and ingredients.

  • Ensure the Chicken Wings promo is up sold to target market when placing meal orders and ensure staff are talking up the monthly activity.
  • Promote amongst your staff team and ensure all are actively talking about how good they are, particularly to sporting sponsors and other target market

  • Encourage Sporting Sponsors to get involved with the activity.
  • Assess your space to determine how many entries you can have on each competition night. Circa 10 entrants is ideal.
  • Encourage staff and management to try the promo so they can honestly upsell to customers.
