The following are the suggested mechanics of the promotion. If you wish to alter these to suit your venue, please outline your suggested changes in your promo proposal brief.

There are 25 numbers with which patrons can purchase the chance to pick a number from the board. After all numbers are sold, the winning number will be drawn and the corresponding name to number will win 20 x $2.50 vouchers to be used in the hotel bar.

Dates & days: Weekday
Start Time: Between 3-5pm when Blue Collar workers finish work
Finish Time: Approximately 2hour from the start time once all numbers have been sold.

  • To play Mug of the Week/Lucky Mug Draw participants must pick a number from the board containing 25 numbers
  • Participants names will be placed on that number
  • Each number will cost $2.00
  • The winner will receive 50 pub bucks in the form of 20 $2.50 vouchers for use in the Hotel Bar.
  • The vouchers must be used in the week immediately following the win
  • The draws will take place following the sale of all the numbers
  • You do not have to be on premise to win the draw
  • Prize may be claimed at any time during the week following the draw
  • Should the prize not be claimed then the prize will be increased in the weeks draw
  • Vouchers are not redeemable for cash
  • 20 x $2.50 hotel vouchers

Suggested marketing initiatives are outlined below. Not all will be appropriate to your venue, however please suggest as many options as you feel appropriate in you promotion proposal.

  • prominently display all POS and winners board
  • use PA to announce the winning number to create some theatre in the bar
  • Encourage friendly banter between staff and locals surrounding the draw. If Johnny was not present at draw time ‘remind’ him of it next week!
  • Ask the winner how those beers are going down to encourage banter between locals
  • Take the opportunity to promote other hotel promotions whilst on the PA announcing the winner or throughout the promotional period
