Suggested marketing initiatives are outlined below. Not all will be appropriate to your venue, however please suggest as many options as you feel appropriate in you promotion proposal.

  • POS
  • SPONSORS
  • EFLYER
  • HALL OF FAME BOARD
  • SMS
  • FACEBOOK EVENTS
  • WEBSITE STAFF/MANAGEMENT NETWORKING + UP SELL
  • NIGHTLIFE
  • UM SCREENS
  • Try to limit entries to 20 to keep a manageable timeframe to the weekly challenge
  • This is a good promotion to involve your sporting sponsors and staff
  • Keep the prizes as fresh as possible
  • Create as much theatre in the bar as possible - prominently display the Hall of Fame board and announce the challenge and winners over the PA between every round
  • Have a local, well connected host to run your comp to ensure a lively atmosphere. This host should also be able to promote the competition through the work, sporting and friend networks to increase the number of players weekly. The $2 entry fee acts as payment incentive to increasing player numbers
  • Use the opportunity of the host chatting to players to promote at least one other hotel promotion per week.
  • Use Grand slam event as a database building exercise by taking down all winners details to communicate the Grand slam event with players
