The following are the suggested mechanics of the promotion. If you wish to alter these to suit your venue, please outline your suggested changes in your promo proposal brief.

  • Local males & females of all ages
  • Local Sporting teams and sponsors
  • Local business and industry workers
  • Sports Event Market

A Red Hot Special is a discount food and/or beverage package which provides an affordable meal for your customers. Such a good value offer will encourage patrons to your hotel for an affordable meal with friends in an enjoyable environment. The promotion will increase trade and create positive word of mouth surrounding your hotel and food service.

Dates & days: Any day that presents opportunity to grow your customers.
Start Time:
Lunch.
Finish Time: Dinner.

  • POS
  • Food promo account setup to allow for the discount in price
  • Adequate seating to cope with increase in demand
  • As per normal setup
  • The Crazy Chook
  • $10 Steak Steal
  • $10 Lunch Special
  • Barramonday’s
  • First determine the target market you are trying to attract. For Example, if you are looking at targeting local business lunch crowd, the $10 Lunch Special would be appropriate, however the offer may not be so appropriate for your local sporting market who play and train on week nights. In this instance the Crazy Chook Special would be more suitable.
  • Prominently display your POS and communicate your offer to your preferred target market.
  • Customers place their promotional meal order as normal and pay the stipulated price point. The remaining value of the meal will then be allocated to the promo food account. If there is a drink component, the drink on offer will be allocated to the promo drinks tab.
  • For Example: The $10 Steak Steal. Customer purchases their Steak meal from the menu which is normally priced at $19.50. The remaining $9.50 on the usual Steak meal price is allocated to Promo
  • 1st Place $500
  • 2nd Place $100 Hotel Voucher
  • ** Please speak to your AM re budget allowances and Alistair Flower re prize ideas and possible supplier promo support

Suggested marketing initiatives are outlined below. Not all will be appropriate to your venue, however please suggest as many options as you feel appropriate in you promotion proposal.

  • POS including counter top A4 frame
  • Nightlife/UM Screens
  • Website
  • Sporting Sponsors
  • Community groups and local business groups
  • Staff/Management up sell
  • Facebook
  • Local Sporting Grounds
  • Ensure you staff are proactively up selling the offer to all patrons
  • Ensure your promotional hosts and management are mentioning at least one of your promotions weekly. For example your trivia host should be announcing the daily special before commencing trivia to ensure patrons are aware of the special on offer. They should also be up selling another daily promotion throughout their time on the microphone. This should also extend to managers announcing badge draw or raffle winners etc
  • Actively promote your Red Hot Special to your desired target market. A $10 Steak Steal might be targeted towards your local sporting teams. By thinking of fun ways to communicate this message you might have a staff member dressed in a cow suit handing out flyers at the local sporting grounds on their nights of play to encourage teams back to your hotel after their game.
  • Ensure you have the right facilities to deliver the Red Hot Special you have on offer whilst ensuring you can create an enjoyable environment for your target market.

Example
$82.55 (2 x A3, 1 x A1, 1 x A0, 1 x A4 counter top)
