The following are the suggested mechanics of the promotion. If you wish to alter these to suit your venue, please outline your suggested changes in your promo proposal brief.

This promotion or hotel initiative is designed to reward regular patronage and hotel membership and ties in well with your hotel badge draw. It allows patrons and staff ‘buy in’ and involvement in the creation of hotel created events and activities. It is a great promotion for building report with your staff, management and local patronage.

  • Prominently display POS advertising the next social club event or calendar of events. This should be near the badge draw board or combined
  • Social club members will be invited to join by staff and management at all times. Membership forms are issued to applicants to complete and return. Each week new members will be mailed out their badge and welcome letter detailing what the social club is all about and what benefits they can look forward to.
  • Social Club members will be enticed to the venue weekly for the cash Badge Draw (please see badge draw mechanics for details). During the weekly badge draw, staff will be selling raffles to raise money for the social club. All funds raised will be banked to the social club account after the cost of the raffle items is reimbursed to the hotel. All committee members will need to meet regularly to arrange 4-6week Social Club events. These can take the form of ‘at venue’ events such as a trivia or karaoke night or external events such as a golf day where all social members will be invited to come along, meeting at the venue and returning to the venue after the outing.
  • The badge draw starts at $50 and increases by $50 weekly if not won. When the jackpot reaches $1000 it must go off! (Please confirm jackpot increases with your AM in line with your budget)
  • Weekly raffles such as meat or seafood trays

Suggested Social Club events can include;
Internal:

  • Live entertainment at the venue - create an event at the venue on a weekend
  • Family Fun day at the venue
  • Karaoke Night at the venue
  • Poker Night at the venue
  • Seasonal parties, i.e Christmas Party

External:

  • Golf Day
  • Lawn Bowls Day
  • Fishing Day
  • BBQ

Suggested marketing initiatives are outlined below. Not all will be appropriate to your venue, however please suggest as many options as you feel appropriate in you promotion proposal.

  • Having enthusiastic and energetic staff and locals on the committee will provide the added inspiration required to create enjoyable, fresh and regular social club events
  • Ensure members are added to the database and sent out there welcome packs weekly to prevent lag times
  • Have energetic and bubbly staff running the raffles to maximise customer interaction and revenue generated from draws
  • Create a regular and forward planned events calendar to ensure optimal planning and event participation
  • Have yearly reviews of Social Club membership and targets to ensure this initiative is run as effectively as possible
  • Use the weekly draw periods to promote both the Social Club, including the next social club event and at least one other hotel promotion throughout the week.
